Students for a Democratic Society, or SDS, was a radical, nonviolent student organization of the 1960s, active in promoting social justice and opposing the Vietnam War. Our collection of digitized documents includes two items by Tom Hayden, a former University of Michigan student and author of the Port Huron Statement, the organization's political manifesto.
