MIT Japan
"After an incredible summer in Japan, I feel much more functional in the Japanese culture and am confident that I can deal with whatever language or culture that comes my way in the future. These are skills that will serve anyone well in the workforce...."
— Rocco Pigneri, intern at Dainippon Screen
The MIT-Japan Program makes a difference
The MIT-Japan Program is creating a new generation of MIT students who know and understand Japan from the inside. It places students on cutting edge research/internship projects in corporations, laboratories, and universities in Japan.
Through the MIT-Japan Program, MIT students have
- worked with humanoid robots at Honda Research
- developed applications that can change the Japanese game programming industry at Square Enix
- helped fight cancer at Banyu
The Japanese culture has never been all about business and neither is MIT-Japan. The program also sponsors an exciting array of lectures, film festivals, and cultural performances.
