A student generated bibliography using PennTags on for a class assignment. This student's bibliography has been picked up by Google's indexing and he because a resource for studies on fan culture and machinima.

This post shows how use of systems like PennTags can enhance other's discovery efforts. This student has posted a book from the Library catalog that has general metadata attached. The student has provided a more detailed and specific discussion the movie "I am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang" as propaganda for FDR's New Deal. Further, but tracing the PennTag post from the catalog to the student's project, other users can find a nice bibliography of materials on the topic of film as propaganda during the 1930's.

A research guide prepared by a Biomedical Librarian for class of medical students. Demonstrates the use of PennTags to aggregate customized resource sets for groups of users.

These posts were created by a librarian during a chat-based reference session with a student. During the interview, the librarian posted resources relavent to the student's inquiry, created a PennTags project and then gave the student a single URL to consult.

This represents a community, in this case, veterinary students, that have collected resources that are useful throughout their tenure in training.  It represents a wide variety of resources and provides, through a folksonomy, a usable index for this bibliography.

PennTags used to support research. This user is among our favorites and has over 1500 posts and 24 different projects. This project is on classical music in Hollywood. It combines items in the Library catalog, videos, and other materials.

Much as Educause organizers ask bloggers and others to use the tag 'EDUCAUSE_MARC08', this class agreed to use the tag 'copyright' to quickly collect a corpus of materials and references for an advanced class on copyright and the media at Penn.
