UNCTAD compiles statistics on foreign direct investment (FDI). The data are presented in two separate products: an interactive database for the aggregate figures and an electronic publication with the detailed information by country.
The FDI database presents aggregate inflows, outflows, inward stocks and outward stocks of foreign direct investment (FDI) for 196 reporting economies in an interactive format.
Annual detailed import / export commodity and trading partner statistics for 130 countries. Many countries have data from 1962. Commodities are classified by Standard International Trade Classification, (SITC) and/or by Harmonized System (HS) codes.
This resource contains data on international trade, 1962-most recent completed year, as reported to the United Nations. Data items include: Reporter (country), Commodity, Partner (country or trading IGO), Year and Trade Flow (i.e., imports, exports, and re-exports). Values are converted into US dollars by reporter, or derived from monthly market rates and volume of trade. Commodities are classified according to SITC (Rev.1 from1962, Rev.2 from 1976 and Rev.3 from 1988) and the Harmonized System (HS) (from 1988 with revisions in 1996 and 2002). Currently most data are reported according to HS, version 2002. The original data are also converted and stored in all the other classifications.
